You can't cram good writing.
Ever written a term paper during a last-minute all nighter? Or written up a blog post and immediately thrown it up on your website?
I dare you to reread that writing and tell me, now, that you wouldn't rephrase things. Many things. Perhaps you'd rephrase the entire thing. Of my own writing, the work that always makes me cringe the most is the stuff I published on short notice.
This why it pays to let your text rest for a minimum of a day. Look it over with fresh eyes the next morning.
And then, if you can, look it over again the next day, the day after that, and possibly again the day after that. Your readers will thank you, and you'll cringe a lot less when you re-read your work.
