Wait. Who are you to expect inspiration to show up every time you write? Only a raging narcissist could possibly think inspiration answers to him. The rest of us know we answer to inspiration.
Just start writing. Don't worry so much about finding inspiration. Sit down for your daily minimum writing time (30 minutes works for me) and grind out a session.
Guess what? Maybe inspiration will show up unannounced. Then again, maybe it won't. But don't be so self-centered to think you deserve an official appointment with inspiration every time you sit down to write.
